Silver alloy wheel finish type
Silver

General silver paint with small metallic particles. This finish type is typically used on our website if we have not yet assigned a more specific finish

Standard Silver alloy wheel finish type
Standard Silver

Used for most Mercedes and BMW wheels, the standard silver is a metallic silver and has small metal particles in the paint

Titanium Silver alloy wheel finish type
Titanium Silver

Used for a lot of recent Mercedes wheels, it is very similar to standard silver and is a metallic paint, but is slightly darker than the standard silver

High Sheen/Burnished alloy wheel finish type
High Sheen/Burnished

On high sheen wheels, the surface of the wheel is machined and then covered with a clear lacquer. The other exposed paint may be any of the other types of silver

High Sheen Rim Flange alloy wheel finish type
High Sheen Rim Flange

The edge of the rim, or flange, is machined during manufacture, and covered with a clear lacquer. Very popular for older AMG wheels, but there is also usually a solid painted option too

Titanium Grey alloy wheel finish type
Titanium Grey

Used for the latest AMG IV 2 piece wheels fitted to the x65 models

Titanium Silver/High Sheen alloy wheel finish type
Titanium Silver/High Sheen

During manufacture, the wheel is painted in titanium silver, then the surface is machined before a clear lacquer is applied. This leaves the surface as a metal silver with the rest of the wheel including between the spokes as the titanium silver colour

Chrome Plated alloy wheel finish type
Chrome Plated

Used for a few of the very latest wheels for the 164 and 169 Mercedes-Benz models

Forged alloy wheel finish type
Forged

Only used for a few wheels, but instead of molten material being poured into a mould to make the wheel (casting), forged wheels are deformed from a block of metal to make the required shape. This results in better strength to weight properties because of the alignmnet in the metallic crystal lattice. Used for the S600/CL600 Segin wheels and the basic 7 spoke R171 wheel

Black alloy wheel finish type
Black

Black is used for most spacesaver wheels

Sterling Silver alloy wheel finish type
Sterling Silver

Used for a lot of AMG wheels, this silver lacks the small metallic particles present in other silvers, giving the paint a more even sheen. Is also referred to as 'chrome silver' by some people
